About

Trinomul BNP

Trinomul BNP is a political party in Bangladesh established in 2015 by former minister Barrister Nazmul Huda. Huda previously founded multiple parties, including the BNF, after leaving the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), but was later expelled from BNF. Trinomul BNP attempted to join the ruling Grand Alliance in the past. The party faced challenges in obtaining registration from the Election Commission (EC), leading to legal battles. Although it couldn't participate in the 2018 general election due to lack of registration, the EC eventually registered Trinomul BNP in February 2023 after a court decision. However, shortly after its registration, Nazmul Huda, the party's chief, passed away. His eldest daughter, Antara Selima Huda, assumed responsibility for the party thereafter.
